What is the "Lightheart" photography style?
We focus on a blend of candid photojournalism and natural editorial. Our goal is to capture the genuine emotions and “lighthearted” moments of your day without making things feel staged or stiff. We love natural light and vibrant, timeless colors.
Have you worked at our venue before?
With years of experience in Sydney, we’ve likely shot at your venue! From the CBD and Darling Harbour to the Hunter Valley and Southern Highlands, we know the best light spots. If we haven’t been there yet, we always arrive early to scout the best locations.
Videography
How do you coordinate between photo and video?
This is the biggest benefit of booking our team! Because our photographers and videographers work together regularly, we have a seamless “dance.” We stay out of each other’s frames, share the same creative vision, and ensure the day runs smoothly without competing for your attention.
What kind of wedding films do you offer?
We offer everything from Highlight Reels (3–5 minutes of the best bits) to Full Main Features. All our packages include professional audio recording for your vows and speeches.
Booking & Logistics
How far in advance should we book?
Sydney wedding dates (especially Saturdays in Spring and Autumn) fill up fast. We usually recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance to secure your preferred team members.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Absolutely. We highly recommend them! It’s a great “rehearsal” to help you get comfortable in front of the lens before the big day. Plus, you get some beautiful casual photos for your “Save the Dates.”
What happens if it rains?
Don’t worry! Rain can actually make for some of the most romantic, editorial-style shots. We always know the best undercover spots in Sydney to keep you dry while still getting “the shot.”
Delivery & Extras
When will we receive our photos and videos?
We know you’re excited! We provide a “Sneak Peek” gallery within 2 weeks of your wedding. Your full high-resolution gallery and cinematic films are typically delivered within 6 to 12 weeks.
How many photos will we receive?
On average, you can expect between 60-80 edited images per hour of coverage. Every photo you receive is individually edited for color, lighting, and composition.
Do we get the RAW files?
We provide fully edited, high-resolution JPEG files ready for printing and sharing. We don’t release RAW files, as the editing process is a huge part of the “Lightheart” signature look you’re hiring us for.
Investment
How do we secure our date?
To lock in your date, we require a signed digital contract and a retainer fee. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding day.
Do you offer custom packages?
While we have popular curated collections, we are happy to build a bespoke package if you are planning an elopement, a multi-day cultural celebration, or a destination wedding.
